Rochester High Street is a good street to walk a dog down, and a better one to stop on. These pubs, cafés and shops have told us dogs are welcome — from a pint by the castle to a flat white with a biscuit for whoever’s on the lead. House rules change, some places only allow dogs in the bar or at quiet times, and the odd café draws the line at the counter, so if in doubt, ask at the door.
